ABOUT THE FILM
The Story
The story comes from an idea the director had whilst listening to the song Hymn for a Scarecrow by Tally Hall. It originally started with the concept of a scarecrow who could control crows psychically, and I developed the storyline and protagonist of the film around that.
The Visuals
The visual style was inspired by a few different short films, such as "PINCHED" and "Dead Fish", with rough, sketchy lines for the characters. For backgrounds, the style was more inspired by painted anime backgrounds, such as those from Studio Ghibli.
